✅ Membership Eligibility

To join the VFW Auxiliary, you must be at least 16 years old and be a relative of a person who is eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Eligible relationships include:

• Husband or wife

• Widower or widow

• Father or mother

• Grandfather or grandmother

• Son or daughter

• Grandson or granddaughter

• Brother or sister

Step- and adopted relatives in these categories are also eligible. The veteran relative must have served in a foreign conflict and meet VFW eligibility requirements, such as receiving a campaign medal, serving in Korea for 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days, or receiving hostile fire/imminent danger pay.

Applicants must provide proof of the veteran’s service, which can be obtained through the National Archives or by submitting a Standard Form 180.
