Established in 1914, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary has stood as one of the nation’s oldest and most active veterans’ service organizations. Founded to honor the sacrifices and commitment of every man and woman who has served in uniform, the Auxiliary is composed of relatives of those who served in locations of foreign conflict. Today, nearly 470,000 members across more than 3,500 Auxiliaries—including three overseas—volunteer millions of hours and raise millions of dollars annually to support veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.
At the Malta VFW Auxiliary, we proudly carry forward this legacy through local service, patriotic education, and legislative advocacy. Our members contribute to national programs that:
-
Support or oppose legislation affecting veterans and their families
-
Volunteer in VA medical centers across the country
-
Host patriotic programs for students
-
Award scholarships to youth committed to civic responsibility
Interested in joining? We welcome individuals who meet eligibility requirements and share our passion for service. Membership offers a meaningful way to give back, connect with others, and make a lasting impact in your community.
