Meet our team

Rebecca Porter
Auxiliary President 2024 -
I joined the VFW 577 Auxiliary to serve those who’ve served us. As the proud wife of a U.S. Army Veteran and mother of an Army soldier, I carry deep respect for the sacrifices made by veterans and their loved ones. My mission is to uplift our Post through meaningful support, inclusive engagement, and heartfelt advocacy for those who’ve worn the uniform.
Leadership, to me, is about showing up—with compassion, accountability, and a sense of purpose. Whether it’s organizing events, updating communication tools, or simply lending a listening ear, I’m committed to strengthening the bonds between our Auxiliary and the veterans we serve.
I’m deeply rooted in Tulsa, where I’ve built a career in healthcare and executive support. That experience taught me the value of discretion, coordination, and clear communication—skills I now use to foster connection and keep our Auxiliary running smoothly.
Outside of my volunteer work, I’m a devoted spouse, a proud mom, and a very lucky grandma. While I keep their stories private, their courage, kindness, and humor inspire me every day to lead with heart.
Together, we honor the past, serve the present, and build a future worthy of their sacrifice.

Amy Reichmuth
Sr. Vice President 2025
I joined the VFW 577 Auxiliary to serve those have previously served us. I am a proud daughter of two Navy Veteran Parents along with being proud of family members who have served in the Army, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard.
I have a deep respect for the sacrifices made by the veterans and their loved ones. Their time away from their family and friends in sacrificing to protect our country. Thanking a service man or woman for what they did to protect our country is the most heartfelt support. To shaking their hands, offering a hug and to sitting with them is working to strengthen the Auxiliary’s bond and the veterans we serve.
Leadership to me is about team work, showing up to be accountable, respecting one another’s views and thanking those who have served before me and hearing the veteran’s stories. It is helping organize monthly to yearly events.
I am a Midwest girl who has lived in Oklahoma for about 26 years now. I was born in Kansas
City, Missouri and moved around a few times due to my dad’s job of working for Amoco. I bring educational experience, communication and help the Auxiliary meetings run smoothly.
I am newly engaged, planning a wedding along with becoming a team player at an Early Childhood School in Broken Arrow Public Schools. I am a sister, a loving aunt to my 3 nephews, help my mom out whenever possible and a dog mom to 2 two poodles.
We come together to honor the past, help serve the present and continue to support a future worthy of their sacrifice.

Cindy J. Huse
Secretary - Treasurer 2025
I am loyal, dependable, and—when the moment calls for it—funny. Over the years, life has sharpened my perspective and deepened my commitment to a cause close to my heart: serving and supporting the men and women who have served our country. Too often, our nation honors them while in uniform, only to forget them when the uniform comes off. But it is after their service—when the parades are over and the headlines fade—that they need us most. That is when we must remember, honor, and serve them in return.
I am a Gold Star Mother—the proud mother of SSG Nicholas “Nick” Huse (1979–2005). Nick served in the Infantry with the Oklahoma Army National Guard, deploying to Bosnia and Afghanistan. His sister, Candi, also served in the Guard in an Engineering Company and was fortunate to remain stateside. Both of my children stepped up to serve this country, and I carry their legacy with pride.
As a Peer Mentor with TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors), I walk alongside others who have experienced similar loss. I do not take that responsibility lightly. It is a calling that connects me to a broader family bound by sacrifice and love.
I am a grandmother and a great-grandmother—a role that brings me joy and purpose every day.
I proudly serve with the VFW Post 577 Auxiliary, support the mission of VFW Post 577, and work alongside posts throughout Oklahoma. My service is a small token of gratitude to the brave men and women who stepped forward when most of us stepped back. Their courage inspires mine.
